Perhaps you haven't even heard yet . . . but we need you to act today!

New Hampshire is at risk of becoming the first state to adopt same-sex marriage by legislative action. We both know that New Hampshire isn't the radical, first-in-line state that should be pushing the envelope on same-sex marriage. And we also know that most voters in New Hampshire don't want same-sex marriage.

But our opposition is extraordinarily well organized, and well-funded too. If we don't make our voices heard, and quickly, House Bill 0436 could well become law -- fast-tracked and under the radar. It's currently pending in the House Judiciary Committee, but could be voted out to the full House as early as next week.

Faced with a similar measure in Rhode Island two weeks ago, we helped mobilize more than 1000 emails to the members of the RI Senate Judiciary Committee in just 48 hours, and the sponsor abruptly withdrew the bill!

That's the sort of response we need now in New Hampshire. We need YOU to do two things today!

1) Please take 5 minutes to send an email to all the members of the House Judiciary Committee, as well as your own state senator and representative. Click here to get started. 

2) Send this link to five (or more!) of your friends, with a short note asking them to join you in contacting their legislators. Over the next few days, we will be reaching out to others in New Hampshire, but need your help to spread the word. This is critical! We can stop this, but will need a massive army of grassroots activists willing to make their voices heard!
